PROGRAMS

Harlem Rock Club Volunteer

Become a mentor for Black and Brown youth by helping coach, train, and entertain Harlem Rock Club participants.

Location: VITAL West | Method NJ

Time: Tuesdays or Thursdays

Free Sole-O Volunteer

This program has a variety of different processes that we need help with! Help clean, inventory, drop off, or fit participants with shoes all over the city.

This volunteer opportunity requires mostly in person work, but events can be coordinated remotely.

Community Meetup Volunteer

Help coordinate our mini-clinic series by organizing the event with gym management, create pamphlets about outdoor educational topics, or help run out meetups held once a month.

Location: Movement LIC

Time: Monthly Programming + 5 to 7 hours a month

Events Volunteer

Not sure that you can help with back end logistics for any of our programs, but still want to help? Apply for this position to be contacted if any events come up.

Some events include fundraisers, tabling, shoe cleaning, community meetups, shoe fittings, etc.

Time: Anything you can commit to!

FINANCE

Grant Writer

We’re looking for help writing and applying to grants. If you have any experience in researching and writing proposals, we highly encourage you to apply! This position will be supported by the Executive Director.

Location: Remote

Time: 5 to 7 hours a month

Fundraising Coordinator

NY3C has committed to running two fundraising events each year to help support programming and we’re looking for someone to lead these events! If you are highly organized and have experience in running/coordinating events, please apply!

Location: Hybrid, but mostly remote

Time: 2 to 4 hours a week + more prior to events

Accounting Lead

NY3C currently has a simple excel sheet tracking and maintaining finances and need help balancing and organizing important financial documents.

Location: Remote

Time: 4 to 6 hours a month

SOCIAL

Social Graphics Lead

Social media can be hard to maintain while also creating and implementing program. This position would immensely help support our events and other organizational news. Knowledge of Canva or other similar platforms would be useful.

Time: 7 to 10 hours a month

Media Lead

If you have any media industry connections and have experience in creating media campaigns, NY3C has a variety of programs we would love to share with our community! Creating a media presence will also help support fundraising efforts.

Location: Remote

Time: 7 to 10 hours a month
