We are the New York City Climbing Collective
Equity in Climbing
The climbing industry has a long history of exclusivity and discrimination against those of marginalized communities.
NY3C Exists to Change That.
Our Mission
The New York City Climbing Collective is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to promote equity in climbing for all people in the New York City metropolitan area through community building, education, and access.
Our Programs
This program was designed to remove one of the biggest barriers to access in climbing.
We collect, clean, resole, and distribute climbing shoes to folks interested in climbing but need help finding, fitting, or financing their first pair of shoes.
We believe that the outdoors should be for everyone, but not everyone has the access to the knowledge and education around it. We host these monthly mini-clinics on a variety of outdoor topics to help bridge the gap to make the outdoors more accessible.
Harlem Rock Club provides low-income Black, Indigenous, and People of Color youth and residents in Northern Manhattan another means to have fun, get strong, and expand their academic and life possibilities.
